Tithe Ethical Consumption Movement (TECM) is a social innovation organized by Fullness Social Enterprises Society (FSES) as a platform that connects the government, corporate, social enterprise and volunteer together to support the development of social entrepreneurship, as well as the promotion of ethical consumption in Hong Kong. Our vision is to "Change the World with Consumption" as we engage the public to take part in solving social issues by practicing their ethical consumption. And TECM has 2 core values:
1. 10% Swap for Good: Replacing “One Tenth” of your usual consumption with social enterprise products or services. For example, for every ten cups of coffee you consume, you may consider buying one from a social enterprise.
2. Two No, One Yes: "No almsgiving" and "No extras", "Yes to social enterprise".
"No almsgiving": Consumers can find equally good products/services at our social enterprise.
"No extras": Consumers are not encouraged to make an extra purchase. If a consumer wants to buy a gift for their friends, they can consider buying it at a social enterprise.
"Yes to social enterprise": If you can make your consumption meaningful, why not take action now? For example, you can support women empowerment by making purchase at social enterprise which hires housewives/single-family caregivers.
